With growing fears of the COVID-19 virus (Corona Virus), many are asking what we, as Eastwood, doing to protect our members and guests while they are in our facility. We are taking aggressive measures in our cleaning and sanitizing methods throughout the week. Most of our members are only here on Sunday, yet our facilities are used literally every day of the week. Because of that, our top priority is to create and keep a healthy and safe environment for everyone.
All in-house cleaning supplies are EPA-registered disinfectant products which demonstrate virucidal claims against flu, and viruses. We also enact measures to disinfect surfaces commonly touched by hands.
• Doorknobs, light switches, handrails
• Computer keyboards and desks
• FLC tables and chairs, faucet handles, etc.
We are in partnership with Aspire Group (the homeschool group that uses our facilities on Monday and Wednesday) in doubling our efforts to clean all restrooms and commonly used areas thoroughly. Though our facilities are aged, and some restrooms are in great need of updating, rest assured they are being cleaned and sanitized.
You may have heard that Life.Church Pastor Craig Groschel is now in quarantine for the Corona Virus to be observed and not to share with others. We certainly need to pray for him and his family, as well as the Life Churches, many of which are in our community. When there is such growing fear, we have to remember that we are still the people of God! And He has given us great and precious promises. One of those promises is clearly laid out in Psalm 91. This psalm describes the position we have with our Father God and the protection He gives. I encourage you to pray these scriptures over you and your family. As well as, pray these scriptures over Eastwood and our entire country and those who have contracted this virus.
Psalms 91:1-10 NLT
1Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.2This I declare about the LORD:He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.4 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.8 Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished.9 If you make the LORD your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
