The Oklahoma teacher walk out that started April 2nd continues in the fight for funding for education. Many school districts have provided designated sites for meals for students under 18 and other organizations have partnered with area schools to provide free child care for elementary age children.
We have put together this list of resources to help anyone locate their nearest designated site for meals and child care.
Eastwood Tulsa has a long time partnership with Lindbergh Elementary School and has joined with The Opportunity Project and Hunger Free Oklahoma to open our doors to feed breakfast and lunch (5 – 18 year olds) for the duration of the walk out. In addition, children Kindergarten through 5th grade may register for free day care from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm that will include:
*Team Builders
*STEM learning
*Arts & Crafts
*Structured Play
*Free play time
*Story Time
*Math Games
*Movies and Snacks
Please complete the registration form at https://eastwoodtulsa.org/school-closure-child-nutrition-day-care-program-registration for Day Care for your Tulsa Public School student currently enrolled in grades K through 5th. You will be required to sign the completed form when you check in your student.
