On Monday, February 8, 2016, a group of seven people from our church will fly to Mexico to work with a local church in evangelism and construction. We will be joined by three other team members from Southern Baptist churches in Indiana.
We will be working with Agustin and his family at Iglesia Bautista Genesis (Genesis Baptist Church) in a small town outside of Morelia, Michoacán.
The church meets in a small apartment and is literally bursting at the seams and spilling out into the street. One of our goals is to help speed construction of a new church building.
Our main emphasis is to work alongside our Mexican brothers and Sisters to advance the gospel and the Kingdom of God. Our slogan is “Beautiful Feet” taken from Romans 10:15 “And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”

Please pray for us while we are preparing to leave and during our trip. Below I have listed some important prayer requests and the names of those who are going on the trip. The other names are Mexican Christians that we will be working with. Throughout the trip, I will be texting/calling designated people with important, specific requests. I am very grateful for our Eastwood Family!
