Secret Church 19 Rewind
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Secret Church is an annual event filled with intense Bible study and prayer that meets for six hours on the fourth Friday of every April. Secret Church 19 focused on “Prayer, Fasting and the Pursuit of God” and included an in-depth study of prayer and fasting throughout the Scriptures. The study answers questions about prayer such as, “How does prayer work?”, “When does God answer?”, and “How do I know what God is leading me to do in my life?” and gives a biblical definition of fasting with practical steps on how to fast.
If you were not able to attend this year’s event, don’t worry. Radical.net has made all of their teaching available for free.

Camp is Real!
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]One of the best things about camp is being “unplugged” from cell phones, video games, television and the internet. Campers admit that it’s really tough to give that stuff up at first, but once they settle in at camp, they appreciate living in real life.
Turning off technology allows students to really engage all of what camp offers— the real friendships, the physical activity, and the chances to explore and discover the natural world. Instead of being entertained by a flickering screen, students get to create a fun time with friends. Campers get to actually do really cool things instead of just sitting around “watching” something.
When you think about it, there’s a lot more to life, to being human, than “facebooking,” text messaging, and watching “reality” TV. These days, it takes a real effort to get past all of that so you can exercise those more important parts of who you are. Camp is special place to help with that effort. It’s perfect for reminding you that life is more fun in the real world.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][ultimate_heading main_heading=”Faith Week 2019 Promo Video”][/ultimate_heading][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_cta h2=”Learn More at Faith Week” h4=”June 28 – July 2nd, 2019″ color=”blue” add_button=”bottom” btn_title=”Learn More” btn_color=”primary” btn_link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Ffaithweek.org||target:%20_blank|”]For over 43 years, Faith Week has been marked as a week where you will meet with God, experience His presence and leave changed. Skillet Berry Cobbler Recipe
- 4 cups your choice of fresh berries (I used blackberries & raspberries)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a 10 inch cast iron skillet, toss together berries, sugar, 1/2 cup flour, cornstarch and salt. Smooth berry into an even layer.
- In a stand mixer with paddle attachment, add the 1 cup flour, oats, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Add the butter and mix until texture is coarse clumps and mixture will hold together in clumps when you squeeze it with your hand.
- Spread topping evenly on top of berry mixture with your hand and press it down lightly.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until the edges are bubbling and the top is golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream!

Here are some tips and tricks for getting the most out of your u-pick experience in Oklahoma.
Keep cool and arrive early.
Many u-pick farms have early hours, and it’s best to get out when the Oklahoma sun is greeting you instead of at its peak in the middle of the day. The berries and fruit are freshest then, and you’ll also get first dibs for being an early bird.
Don’t forget your containers.
Bring a shallow container for picking so the weight of the berries on top won’t crush the ones on the bottom. Some places provide picking containers and take home bags, so call ahead to double check. If you’re driving quite a ways to get to a farm, a cooler will help your produce stay at its freshest on the ride home.
Come prepared.
The right attire is essential to remaining comfortable while picking berries. Don’t forget to wear long sleeves, pants and a hat. Bug spray and sunscreen are also good ideas as well as gardening gloves. Document your trip with a few snap shots on your digital camera too. Expert tip: Stretch out your back, legs and arms before picking to keep from cramping up while bending over.
Have a plan for your produce.
Read up on canning, making jam, freezing techniques or recipes for the produce you’re going to pick in order to get the most out of your produce while it’s at its peak.
Other general rules.
Follow the farms’ rules on where to pick, how much to pick and when. If u-pick is by appointment, be sure to call ahead. Most importantly, if you need help or have questions don’t be shy. The owners will be able to answer all of your questions on ripeness, growing seasons and so much more.[/vc_cta][/vc_column][/vc_row]
